Whether it’s the endearing service, casual atmosphere, fast delivery or authentic homestyle Thai cuisine, people cannot say enough wonderful things about Bennie’s Thai Café. What started as a small steam table inside a Blimpie’s franchise downtown has now become a financial district favorite for business lunchers and residents alike.
Bennie Boon began serving her Thai curries to her employees while still operating the Blimpie’s location, but she knew that she wanted to devote all of her time to the dishes of her homeland. And that she did; the dizzying variety of Thai specialties on offer at Bennie’s, including crunchy salads with the perfect hint of heat and tangy citrus flavor, Tom Yum-Goong soup with shrimp and a superb Pad Thai, certainly showcase her talents. But it is also the reasonable prices coupled with consistent freshness that make dining at Bennie’s (or in the comfort of your own home) a true pleasure.
Hoi-Joh (Shrimp Fritters)—Bean curd skin stuffed with ground shrimp and chicken, golden fried and served with sweet and sour sauce
Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup)—Shrimp and mushrooms in hot and sour broth seasoned with lemongrass, lime leaves, Thai herbs and spices
Yum Beef or Chicken (Spicy Thai Salad)—Prepared with chili, peppers, onions, lime juice and served on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers
Ped Par-Nang (Spicy Duck)—Half a crispy duck topped with spicy curry sauce and lime leaves
Gai-Yang (Grilled Thai Chicken)—Chicken marinated in a special Thai sauce, grilled until crisp and served with plum sauce
Pad Thai—Sautéed medium noodles with bean sprouts, chicken, shrimp, ground peanuts, egg, scallion and black bean curd
Pad-Mar-Kurr (Eggplant with Basil)—Eggplant sautéed with garlic and basil leaves; served with soy sauce or Thai chili sauce
Love me some Bennies Thai! Love this place. Order from here 3-5 times a month!

Food lacked flavor and spice, even though "spicy" was requested for both entrees.
Posted 2 years ago by Nilam P.
Unappealing, unappetizing food. Very disappointed in the ginger chicken lunch special.
Posted 2 years ago by Janielle L.
Best in the area, but still not great. Pad Thai was a bit bland, especially when not piping hot. Soup was good, papaya salad was good but very small portion. Spicy noodles were the highlight - if you like spicy, definitely ask for very spicy.

Love Bennie's. Best Thai food in FiDi. It's pricey, but worth it. Their red curry sauces and soups are some of my favorites.

Good Thai good for the price.

Oh man, food was totally awesome and tasty. However, I always wish there were more shrimp with my pad thai :( though the ones given were FAIR. Thai iced tea is delicious but the flimsy cup made me almost spill it on my coworker hahah. Oh man. Imagine it was my boss! Fix those plastic cups and I'll love you guys forever.

once in a long while I order from here and it is not my fav. thai place but as a lunch special the price was moderate comparing to my other place. food came: curry lacks flavor, burnt pat see eew, second one they resent still has the burnt taste to it. will not order again from here.
Posted 3 years ago by jeanie l.
Phad Thai was dry and flavorless. Spicy noodles were slightly better. Thai iced tea was fine. Seemed like a perfectly nice place, but we won't order again as Phad Thai is a staple at our house.

This place was terrible. They said it should take 45-55 minutes, food came after an hour and a half and after 2 phone calls. Food was cold and the chicken was fatty and had bones. Will not reorder.
Posted 3 years ago by John y.
I ordered Tom-Yum-Tarlay Soup, which according to the description, is "Spicy seafood combo soup. Hot & spicy. A very special Thai soup with assorted seafood, sharp and tasty. Prepared with hot pepper, lemongrass, lime leaves, lime juice, spices and mushrooms."
It has NO SEAFOOD in this SEAFOOD SOUP. All I got in the soup is half fish ball and two fish cake, and few veggie. And even worse, they didn't even fill up the container for the soup. Only got 2/3 of it.
WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN.

Go to pad thai place in FiDi.

Bennie's can be good or bad, depending on the night but they've lately been having more good nights than bad. Favorites of mine are Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, also a big fan of the Curry Puffs.
Posted 3 years ago by Lindsey S.
Standard and pretty tasty Thai food. Satays are good, only downside- portions not as big as other Thai places.
Posted 3 years ago by Aneeka A.
They can't even get fried dumplings right. The noodles taste bland and are poorly prepared. They could have just delivered a bucket of water dumped on my head and I would have been happier. I honestly feel like I am the butt of some elaborate prank where someone opens a restaurant just to deliver me the worst meal of my life. Next time I want that quality of food, I am just eating leftovers.... out of the trash cans on the sidewalk.

greasy and tasted burnt

I thought the food was great but they made a few mistakes with our order. FYI Jungle Curry is like soup! But delicious none the less.....

wow. probably one of the worst thai deliveries i've tried.
i ordered chicken with basil lunch special. the chicken was very dry and the flavor was lacking overall.
Posted 3 years ago by Hwi C.
I've tried many Thai restaurants in this area and this one is definitely the best (though not the best I've ever had). Consistently good food, delivery is usually under the 25 minute mark (amazing), and once when they forgot my Thai iced tea, the woman on the phone was extremely courteous about the accident and gave me a credit. My go-to Thai restaurant in FiDI now.

It took almost 2 hours for them to deliver my food. If you are hungry do not order here. Also disappointed that they did not have pork options.
Posted 3 years ago by Ainsley T.
It was ok - not great - not bad. I ordered a rice noodle dish with chicken which hardly had any chicken. I flavor was ok - but with little to no meat/veggies it was not great. The sticky rice with mango was just ok too...this is one of my favorite desserts but this one tasted like it was old....

Good house soup. Good pad se ew.
Posted 3 years ago by THOMAS I.
Good Thai options with very well-controlled levels of spice. Noodles are always my favorite, and Bennie's does a great job of providing a tasty lunch.
Posted 3 years ago by Mark L.
So delicious! Great Pad Thai (I always get the spicy sauce on the side because it can get really spicy but so so good). Spring Rolls and Lettuce Wraps are wonderful too!
This time it took a long time for the food to be delivered but usually they're better.

gross and greasy
Posted 3 years ago by David S.
For delivery, their pad thai & pad see ew were better than average. Granted, it's fairly limited choices in the area but Bennie's is a good one so far.
Posted 3 years ago by Cindy C.
Really Good Pad Thai - I wish I knew about this place sooner. It was kind of high in sodium, but its take-out...so I mention on as observation, it was still really yummy. I would order from here again.
Posted 3 years ago by Jennifer M.
Delivery was timely, came faster than estimated delivery time. Ordered Pad thai, pad see yew and chicken satay. Pad thai and pad see yew were fine... wouldnt order them again though because they were a bit too bland/boring for my taste. chicken satay was pretty good, nothing special. Overall I was underwhelmed..

Sadly Bennie's used to be one of our favorite Thai spots and the many times we've ordered in the last few months have been a disappointment. We have pretty high standards for Thai food given I used to live in Bangkok and grew up on some Thai cooking, and Bennie's drunken noodles used to be some of the best. Not sure what's happened but quality has gone down overtime. Food is ok, bland, and sometimes shows up cold, which really takes away from Thai food, especially noodles.
We will order if desperate (it's like the exbf that you keep giving another chance hoping things will be as great as it used to be, knowing it won't) but now we're trying out other Thai spots in fidi to find our new go to / boyfriend. It was a good run, Bennie's!

My go-to for Thai in the neighborhood. If only they didn't close for orders at 8 pm - that is my one qualm!
Posted 3 years ago by Libby B.
Delivery time is unacceptable if they plan to deliver to an office. An hour to get my food??? I'm 2 blocks away from this place! If they can't be in my office within 20-25 minutes then they need to hire more people or get off Seamless. Food is average and expensive for the taste.
Posted 3 years ago by Raul A.
Ordered Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. It was mediocre. Wouldn't order from there again or suggest it to anyone.
Posted 4 years ago by Camilla H.
I'm not new to take out- I've ordered from a number of restaurants in my life, many including Thai, my favorite cuisine, and I must say this is the first time I've ever ordered from a restaurant where I had to throw out the food after just a few bites because I could not stomach how bad it was. And I wouldn't throw away a $13 meal unless absolutely necessary.
I ordered the Gang Entree- the standard Thai curry dish. I ordered it with chicken, with red curry. When my food came I noticed the first red flag- it was accompanied only with the tiniest container of rice- not enough to fill a small cereal bowl. The curry itself was absolutely flavorless, if I had to describe the taste and consistency I'd guess their curry recipe is just lukewarm water with curry powder added to it. I've never had to add salt to a Thai curry dish because it was so bland. The ratio of meat to vegetables was about 1:20- just a few pieces of dry, flavorless chicken pieces, accompanied by bamboo pieces that were so stiff I could barely chew it, and under-cooked green peppers. After just about a few bites, and having to add rice from my own kitchen because they barely gave enough- I was sick. The food tasted terrible, and while I hate wasting money and food, my stomach will definitely thank me for this.
I was shocked and disappointed because I carefully read reviews before ordering food- does the restaurant ask coworkers and friends of coworkers to write faux positive reviews? I wouldn't consider myself a tough customer. This is the first time I've ever gone out of my way to write a negative restaurant review because I've never had such a poor experience, and I want to make sure you other seamless users out there do not have the same experience. I've added just one star because I can't submit 0.
Now that I'm disappointed, $13 short, still hungry, and finished writing my review, I'm going to go heat some frozen Costco yakisoba now- a treat compared to my curry dish at Bennie's Thai Cafe.

Very bad service. It took nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes to receive my food and I live less than 2 blocks away. When I called to inquire where my food was, the lady on the phone was very rude and refused to help me in any way. She placed the blame on me and kept saying that the delivery man was "on his way." I had to listen to this excuse for nearly 40 minutes. I will not order from this place again and I recommend you avoid this place as well.

Posted 4 years ago by Alexi M.
Ordered here twice. The food is excellent. Second time it took about an hour, but still warm food.
Posted 4 years ago by Koen B.
So so thai food. I eat here a good bit but only because there's no great thai downtown. Sometimes they use really dank chicken (especially during lunch), so I would avoid that during lunch.
Posted 4 years ago by Tem A.
Meh. So so food. Gave a tiny container of rice for curry, a lot of the curry went to waste. Steak salad was bland.
Posted 4 years ago by Danielle D.
It's ok. Not great Thai food in general in FIDI.
Posted 4 years ago by Keith S.
'If you don't have anything nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all' -- This is my exception. Spring rolls were doughy and under cooked, pad thai tasted like it had gristle from the grill in it and a pronounced iron-like taste. I couldn't even make it though the dish, had to stop. All this for $20 (with tax and tip)? No thanks. The four star rating was probably bought.
Posted 4 years ago by Daniel B.
After reading all the reviews about delivery time being ridiculous, I made sure to put our order in ASAP because we usually order for about 15 people. To my pleasant surprise, the food arrived only 30 minutes after placing the order! And the food is delicious! Definitely, ordering from here again.

Very salty Pad See-Eiw. Chicken fried rice with pineapple is OK, but it's hard to mess up CFR. Spring rolls are bland and too much cabbage.

Beef in the beef curry was extremely tough and tasteless. Never order the Thai Iced Coffee as it tastes like it is made from a dry mix and had no peanut milk.
Posted 5 years ago by Stephen C.
The main dish I had, Pad Thai, was not that great. But the Roti and Curry was good and the Sticky Rice and Mango was absolutely delicious.
I will come back for dessert but not the other stuff.

I'm one mile away from this place. It's been over an hour and no sign of the delivery man. Estimated delivery time was 20-40 mins. Longest time I've waited for a Seamless order. I'm starving and I'll never order from this place again.

Sub par Pad Thai, but not many other options in FiDi. Singapore Noodles are pretty good.
Posted 5 years ago by Max B.
Such yummy Thai food and speedy delivery. And when they do spicy, they really make it spicy, which is great.
Posted 5 years ago by Amanda S.
if you like gristly mystery chicken then this is your restaurant. the chicken and shrimp dumplings were tough and old. the spring rolls were ok, but super greasy. i won't order from this place again.
Posted 5 years ago by Robin W.
Dumplings are very weird tasting, steak lunch is really unappetizing, all of the steak is fatty, covered in fat, and so many onions. Not recommended.
Posted 5 years ago by Meagan C.
The delivery was very fast, 13 minutes. Unfortunately, I chose Bennie's for the food not the delivery time. The Spring Rolls were delicious --> very crisp without feeling greasy. The Pad Thai on the other hand was ok. It did not have the peanut flavor punch I am used to, and thus did not hit the spot.
I'm glad I tried it, but will be trying a different place next time I'm craving Thai.
Posted 5 years ago by Courtney S.
I don't get the high ratings on this. food was so-so, it wasn't gross, but i wouldn't order from here again. and definitely not worth the hour long wait. so many better thai places in the area.
Posted 5 years ago by Nelly N.
Extremely late delivery (more than 20min past the worst estimated time), and refusing to cancel my order, even knowing I had to leave.
Posted 5 years ago by FABIO B.
I get stuff from here fairly regularly and it's always pretty good, never great, but the last few times (and today was the worst) I've been disapointed with the quality of the vegetables. If I order a noodle dish with veggies and I have to proceed to remove all the veggies because they are clearly past their date of usage, that's a problem. I also bit into something that should have been a sprout of some sort but split under my bite into basically splinters.... If you are going to offer a vegetable option, order fresh veggies - they are cheaper than meat on top of everything else!!!
Posted 5 years ago by Antonia R.
Don't know how this place is rated so well on here. i had a terrible meal: an order of yellow curry w/ chicken and some tom-yum soup. For the curry dish, the sauce was bland and scarce, while the chicken appeared to have been reheated leftovers going back at least 2 days. it was dreadful. the soup was ok at best, but with a pricetag of $7, was hardly worth it. I will never order from this place again!
Posted 5 years ago by Dave K.
NO. fast food doesn't have to be bad food. places like this give thai food a bad name. ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK. Food was soggy, bland, and unappetizing. only finished my dish because i was starving. ordered once - no more. I'd prefer the Wendy's a couple of blocks down any day over this... WHAT A SHAME.
Posted 5 years ago by Jason A.
kind of confused by the ratings... the steamed veggie dumplings were soggy and made only of lettuce that tasted like mold....
everything else was frozen meats and pour saucing... standard thai dishes that tasted like they were served at Disney World not New York City
Posted 5 years ago by Mark T.
The Gang entree (red curry with beef and bamboo shoots) was bland, as were the spring rolls. Also, for those picking up, please note that the cross street is NOT Broadway; it's actually several short blocks east of there.
Posted 5 years ago by Jennie A.
even if the food wasn't good (it's fantastic), they would get brownie points for being UBER speedy! they are so fast it's incredible!!

Decent cuisine. Took a long time for delivery and they left out part of our order. Restaurant finally delivered the rest of the order over an hour and a half later. Wouldn't run to order from https://www.seamlessweb.com/food-delivery/orderhistory.m?utm_source=seamlessweb&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20110401RateReview#here again.

This is better Thai food than other takeout places I've had. It comes quickly and there were no problems or errors like other places tend to have. As for the quality, some of the pad thai noodles had a burnt taste to it. It may have been how they prepare the noodles for what I ordered, because my shrimp Pad Thai was not burnt at all.
In short, if I was going to order delivery Pad Thai in the Financial District, I'd probably order from here.
Posted 6 years ago by Ahmed S.
The puffs were good, and the noodles not bad, but the duck was very fatty and riddled with little bones. The veggies it came in were mostly flavorless cabbage (or bok choi, couldn't really tell).
Delivery was abysmal, since it showed up very late and then was left with the door man for no good reason.
Posted 6 years ago by Miles O.
Good food, but they forgot the rice!
Posted 6 years ago by Jazmin I.
Everything was very salty. Hope I remember not to order from here again.
Posted 6 years ago by Thomas C.
Food has no taste, they also forgot items and didn't want to bring the items, although they did eventually.
Posted 6 years ago by Tracy R. (LAG) J.
Definitely skip the lunch specials...they're either left over from yesterday or made very early in the morning and left to sit under a lamp for the rest of the day. Soggy. Yucky. The broths in the soups are okay, but be careful of the inedibles that are left in there - lemongrass, bay leaf, what-have-you - and I think there was an entire green pepper in one pint of soup. Which I suppose is fine, if you like green pepper.
Posted 6 years ago by Jamie F.
Disappointing - the pad thai is definitely not authentic.... tasted more like chinese fried noodles.
The jungle curry is actually a soup.... will definitely not order from here again.
Posted 6 years ago by franky z.
Delicious green curry with tons of veggies and tofu. Did not love fried vegetable dumplings, as they were deep fried, not pan fried. Next time would try steamed. Second time curry was just OK.
Posted 6 years ago by Ali S.
Fast delivery. Good food.
Posted 6 years ago by Shonali B.
Curry is good, papaya salad wasn't good at all. Had a huge chunk of sugar in it and wasn't spicy. Curry ordered spicy doesn't come spicy either so put "extra extra" if you mean it. Roti is good. Better than average Thai for the area...
Posted 6 years ago by Jasmine M.
Food was warm and delivered on time. Roasted Pork over Rice Lunch Special was ok but pork was a little on the fatty side and chinese sausage was not cut up as much as expected (expected the sausage to be minced and more tastier). Beef Massa-Mahn Lunch Special was good though (better than the other items ordered). Hoi-Joh ordered was ok (portion was good but we just didn't like it was much as we thought we would -- next time will try the spring rols instead).

Pad thai and the Beef panang curry are very good.
Posted 6 years ago by Gavin J.
I really like Bennie's. I usually get the Tom-Kha-Gai soup, Pad Thai, and Thai Ice Tea. I think all three of these menu choices are excellent. My boyfriend and I get cravings for the soup on a semi-regular basis.
Posted 6 years ago by Elizabeth K.
This was the worst panang curry "chicken" ever. There was almost no chicken. It didn't taste right... They used to be OK. Maybe a new chef or new owner?
Posted 6 years ago by Miroslav V.
Not terrible, but not great by any means.
Posted 6 years ago by Uday V.
I like Panang chicken curry but didn't see it on the menu. I ordered Tom-Kha-Gai Soup which was similar. I used the left over soup and sliced some chicken and added it to my own coconut spice concoction to extend my meal. The noodles and satay were ok. I wonder if the owners ever been to any good thai food places in town to compare their stuff to. (hint hint) or if they spend their time giving themselves good ratings on this website If the food was 5 bucks, maybe I would go again but probably once a month. Panang enemo is the best but only filipinos know what's up with that one.
Posted 6 years ago by DAnny L.
ordered the green papaya salad. it was drenched in sugary dressing and was no larger than an ice cream scoop. it was not spicy at all which is the way green papaya salad should be. the pad thai also just didn't taste right. the "jumbo" shrimp were not jumbo - they were regular sized. would never order here again.

I've been eating in and taking out from Bennie's Thai Cafe for the 14 years it's been in existence. Unfailingly, each and every one of my meals ever so perfectly prepared, augmented by the gracious, accommodating, and sincere staff attitude, from Bennie, herself, on down. has made my enjoyment of the restaurant's finely- and authentically-prepared meals an unfailing, pure gastronomic delights! -- F. Our order was not all that good. Ate a bit and threw it out.
Posted 6 years ago by Michael S.
1- basil fried rice had no egg in it (a major ingredient) and more shrimp tails than shrimp
2- chicken with basil was literally a half filled container that was not shut properly and spilled.
3- delivery was v fast
Nothing special in terms of taste - will not order again.
Posted 6 years ago by Karen M.
I gave this place many chances, as the menu is big and people give decent rating here. However...
Curry Puffs : 4 1/2 stars
Chicken Satay: 4 stars (great flavor but it's tad oily)
Gang-Pakh : 2 stars (So thin and watery, red curry is supposed to be more flavorful than this)
Basil dish: 3 1/2 stars (really, really greasy)
All Tom-yum series soups: 1 star. Tastes like heated up citric acid concentration with very little flavor
Time to find a better Thai place around here.

Best Thai food I have had!
Posted 6 years ago by Darin S.
I have ordered from them a few times and have found delivery times to be inconsistent. Sometimes they deliver very quickly, other times very slowly. Their noodle dishes are far too noodle heavy and contain sparse amounts of your choice of protein, and their other entrees are tasty but also somewhat lacking in substance (both in vegetables and protein). They're better than most of the other Thai choices downtown, but they're no Laut, Pongsri, or Beyond Thai.
Posted 6 years ago by Jared A. Bennet F.
Okay sauce but very low quality meat.
Posted 6 years ago by Alex H.
That was the worst Thai food I've ever had. The Tom Yum Gai was okay, although it had very little in it and was bland despite having asked for it spicy. The chicken curry was appalling. Much of the curry had spilled out of the container by the time I got it, but what was left was completely tasteless and again I'd asked for it spicy.
I would never order from here again.
Posted 6 years ago by Michael N.
Sweet Sticky Rice was a tad sweet and thick, and the fired bananas were kinda oily -- but otherwise they tasted like heaven.
I love their peanut sauce, it's one of my favourite Thai items ever, and they make it so good.
I don't like the Pumpkin Custard. It was a piece of steamed pumpkin w/ custard on the inside. I thought it was going to be well, you know pumpkin custard (like flan.)
I ordered the Pad Thai and I would again, in a heartbeat, it was cooked just the way I like and tasted great.
Posted 6 years ago by Sasha M.
they sent spicy dish even though we ordered "no spicy". Spring rolls had no flavor.

The food tasted really good, and it was delivered really fast. I would have given it 5 stars if not an excruciating stomach pain following almost immediately after the food consumption. No, this wasn't anything I have eaten before. I don't know... :((

roast chicken was substituted for steamed chicken as they ran out. it was pretty good even though it was dark meat. Chicken basil was also good.
Food was delivered in twenty minutes during peak lucnh time so that was good and the food have decent [portions. However, they forgot our Thai coffee and extra pepper so the delivery guy had to make a second trip. i would order again.

Not sure why this is considered a Thai restaurant. Having ordered the lunch special of chicken with ginger along with a dumpling appetizer, I am left feeling awful. The dumplings were likely pre-frozen, the kind one would get from a bad Chinese take-out, and the chicken was dark, with skin, bones, and of poor quality, served with a sugary, sauce over stale rice. I will never order from here again.

Chicken curry Puff Review-- the pastry was gud quality and arrived hot and crispy, But the inside was filled with potatoes, you would have to look with a magnifying glass to spot the "chicken" in this chicken curry puff. Then you would expect the potatoe curry puff to have some taste at least. I was disappointed again with the boiled potatoes with yellow color with very mild taste of curry or any spice. But one ingredient was prelavent in this puff that is salt. Overall if u like ur chicken curry puff without much chicken and with a very mild taste of curry then by all means enjoy. But I need some spice in my life, not recommended for people looking for chicken and spice. But the quality of the food, the presentation (you get three puffs in one order layed on top of some lettuce and carrots diced on side) and the arrival time was good.

Our food was inedible, we ordered the lunch specials basil chicken and brown pork and we have never had such bad food. DON"T ORDER FROM here. I don't even know why they call it Thai.

This is the 1st time ordering from this restaurant. I wanted Thai food. I order the peanut curry with chicken and sticky rice. The peanut curry , the auce was absolutely fabulous. The Sticky rice was good with it. But I hated the presentation - the vegetables that were included were chunky and I received mroe stem than actual vegetable. The salad was just not good and I could have done without it. With that in mind, I know how to order in the future - if I do. But I can't rave enough about the peanut sauce and sticky rice - that was quite satisfying. The chicken was okay but I tasted the way they made it - grilled and that kind of threw me off. Now that I said that, I wouldn't order just for the sauce s=and the rice.

This is hard for me to believe, but I just had a phone altercation with someone from this restaurant. First, they delivered the wrong order -- I had ordered the vegetarian duck (me being a vegetarian for over 10 years now) but suspected after taking a bite that they gave me real duck. Some fake foods are convincing, so I gave them a call. They first told me it was vegetarian duck, but then they called back right away to tell me that they got the orders wrong and gave me real duck. They offered to bring me a replacement order and I accepted. The correct order came promptly and I gave away the previous wrong order to a co-worker. A minute later, someone from the restaurant called back to yell at me for not returning the incorrect order to the delivery guy who dropped off the replacement. I explained that I'd taken a bite out of that order and, besides, it is not duty to return an incorrect order, particularly given that the error was plainly theirs. The two of us fought over the phone for a minute or so on this point, both our voices rising, until the person from the restaurant hung up on me. I thought at first that the person surely must have been joking with me, and I still have to wonder now. Otherwise, I'm not sure what is more disturbing -- that the restaurant thinks that its customers are responsible for correcting their errors, that this person thought it worth her time to call and harass a customer, or that they planned on giving someone else food that I had already opened, touched, and partially eaten.
Having said that, the food is quite good.

We found a nasty bug in our food. We cannot identify it, but it looks like a fly (a size of a house fly). Unfortunately, we will not be ordering from this place again. ????????? Bennie's Thai Cafe ???????????????????? ????????????????????????

Mediocre Thai. I would get it if I were really craving Thai and too lazy to walk somewhere else to get, but I've definitely had better.

Where's the chicken? My basil chicken seemed like it was 1/2 the size it should have been for the price. The chicken curry puff was tasty, but small portion size means that I probably wont be ordering from here again soon. Had I not been reimbursed for the meal, I would be rather angry.

Delivery from Bennies. What an awful experience. The guy calls at least 10 minutes before he arrived, forcing me to wait in the lobby of my office building for him. (I've got news for him: my time is a lot more valuable than his). Of course, he didn't close the cover on the ginger chicken, so the sauce was everywhere but on the dish. Speaking of chicken, there was barely any. Did they run out of chicken? I never ordered from this place before and never will again What a disappointment.

The delivery was about 20 minutes late. I ordered the pad see ew, which had horrible seasoning and had a burnt taste to it. The fried calamari was probably the worst I've ever had, and that's excusing the fact that it was soggy by the time it got here.
